We need to gather as much information as possible about the lands that fall within Western Forest Products subdivision applications!

IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION on any of these subjects or know of someone who does, please contact the UVic Environmental Law Clinic (ELC) at enviro@uvic.ca 250-853-3194

1) Environmental impacts, including:
• Plant or animal species at risk
• Wildlife habitat or migratory range
• Community watersheds and water licences – ecological and drinking water health
• Potential for erosion, landslide or other natural hazards

2) Recreational and aesthetic values in the area
3) Archaeological or other heritage values that may be affected
4) Specific information on the economic, social and environmental costs of sprawl, land use changes and greenhouse gas emissions.
5) Specific information related to changes in the economy of the area
6) Other reasons that support the argument that these subdivision applications, should they be approved, are not in the public interest.

Please note: First Nations interests are being addressed by the Nations themselves. Please contact the relevant Nation if you have information.
